Annual Reports + Reports the the Community
WNY United Against Drugs and Alcohol
In 2009, I helped this Buffalo-based not-for-profit share a powerful message. When I first suggested this theme to the account executives, they were taken aback. They thought “intoxicating” was a red flag for the organization. When I explained the theme was really speaking to the natural highs found in everyday life, they came around to the idea. Which the client immediately loved.
Dana Inc.
The year prior to this annual report, the project was a disaster. The client didn’t like the writing or the graphic design and key deadlines were missed. In an effort to rectify past mistakes, I was brought in as a writer. We put together a plan to keep the project on track and were able to come up with a piece the client really liked. In fact, a key Dana executive called the annual report “the best work your agency has ever created for us.”
Independent Health
In this report to the community, we developed a simple message with a strong, dual meaning. The straightforward meaning is that Independent Health is a good choice for a health plan. The more significant meaning speaks to company officials having their fingers on the pulse of where the health care industry is going next.
